Step-by-step guide: how to install the new doorbell mounting plate Step 1: Remove the doorbell by pressing the tab on the bottom of the doorbell with a flat screwdriver, if it is still attached. Step 2: Remove the old mounting plate from the wall or doorframe, if it is still there. Step 3: Remove the new mounting plate from the package. Step 4: Place the new mounting plate in the desired position on the wall or doorframe. Do not overtighten the screws to avoid damaging the mounting plate. Preferably use a manual screwdriver or a screwdriver with low torque settings. Step 5: Snap the doorbell into the holder on the new mounting plate. And that’s it!
